Lutron's Kirbe Vertical Drapery System

One thing I love about my house is all the large windows in the family room. What I don’t like are the draperies around them. They’re a little outdated and block a bit of the view. The latter would happen no matter what type of window coverings there were, so I’ve been reluctant to replace them … until I saw the Kirbe ($3,166 list price for a 75-by-84-inch window; includes the motorized track and finished drapery panel) from Lutron Electronics.

The entire drape moves vertically instead of horizontally, so that when it’s in the up position (situated behind a decorative cornice), the window is completely uncovered. As an added bonus, the Kirbe is motorized, which means I’d be able to operate the four sets of drapes in my family room by pressing one button on a handheld remote.
