Soft Mount Ergo

I’m a huge fan of flat-panel TVs. I already own a couple, both of which are perched on top of cabinets. Not the most elegant design choice, but at least you can’t see any cabling between the screen and the DVD player. Had I mounted the TVs to the wall, I would have had to either deal with visible cabling dangling on from the bottom of the screen, or had to fish the wire behind the wall—neither solution is too appealing.

The Ergo from Soft Mount offers one of the most non-invasive mounting and wire management solutions I’ve seen. A lightweight 1.5”-thick panel of paintable MDF mounts to the Sheetrock. Measuring 24 inches wide and 32 inches high, the panel accommodates an articulating wall mount from OmniMount and conceals all the cabling. And at $95 for a 32-inch TV, it’s a great deal.
