“Before I learned the term mid-century modern, I called our house retro-chic. Built in 1950, the one-story pad features an open floor plan, about 100 feet of floor-to-ceiling windows, and a little too much wood paneling. We purchased a 60-inch DLP TV last year, along with a cool-looking media console found at an outlet store. It’s functional and has some wire management and ventilation, but I wish we could do it over again …”
