Wanting to integrate more than a control system, the client went a step beyond the ordinary and opted to consolidate two apartments into one fully-optimized space. As a custom solution, the shelves of an unused pantry were stripped out, rewired, and installed with two racks of control and A/V equipment.
A set of Middle Atlantic racks with extending roll-bars allows each unit to effortlessly slide forth from their enclosures - allowing elegant and easy maintenance to the back of the system. Both racks are placed 4 ½” above the finished floor with an open-based grill to facilitate active heat reduction.
You would never be able to tell, but the pantry is outfitted with false rear panels that designate an 8” space solely for incoming wiring and outgoing ventilation.
