One of the best-selling albums of all time, you get a little bit of everything to demo on Rumours: Hard-edged (Stevie Nicks) or melodic (Christine McVie) female vocals, twangy but strong male vocals (Lindsey Buckingham), soft and detailed efforts, straight-forward rock, foot-tapping pop and more. And you know every song by heart.
At first listen, there are a lot of catchy numbers that may not seem worthy of audiophile demos, but take another go at songs like “Dreams” and its perfectly timed drum pops, or “Second Hand News” and its high-end guitar and vocal workout.
