SpeakerCraft Time One

Since its inception in the mid-1970s, Calif.-based SpeakerCraft has been a leading developer of architectural loudspeaker products and its TIME series of loudspeakers is a good example of the company’s innovations.

The speaker installs like most architectural products except for its inclusion of a trigger mechanism that electronically activates the unit to automatically fold out of its enclosure at 15-, 30- or 45-degree angles to provide a more focused soundstage than a traditional in-ceiling loudspeaker, which project sound straight down.

In addition to its motorized trajectory capabilities, the speaker can also be rotated up to 285 degrees further enhance its adaptability.

SpeakerCraft says the 88dB sensitive speaker has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a frequency response of 40Hz to 20kHz.
