Mark Levinson No. 433 power amplifier

A case could be made that high-performance audio didn’t begin until Mark Levinson released its first product. Years later the company has branched out into mobile audio and home theater, and its 433 triple-mono amplifier is a good example of the pedigree reaching home theater.

The 433 features an industrial design and also includes control options such as RS-232, DC triggers and a trigger output to daisy chain multiple amps from a single preamp component. Output is 200 watts into 8 ohms and 400 watts into 4 ohms, and according to the company it develops this from three individual power supplies and fully balanced current-gain stages.

MSRP is approximately $10,000, www.marklevinson.com
