The Who ‘At Kilburn 1977’
Image Entertainment, 65 minutes, 1.78:1
DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital 5.1, PCM 2.0
Don’t let the time amount fool you on this one—it comes with extras that include two other hour-plus concerts from 1969, so you get a good dose of fairly early Who performances and the main mid-70s show that was filmed for ‘The Kids Are Alright’ movie. You could opt to crank up your system with the Isle of Wight release from earlier this year, but Kilburn will give you plenty of vintage, powerful Daltrey, Townshend, Entwistle and Moon (in one of his last public performances).
