About the only thing better than seeing Federer and Nadal duke it out for five hours was seeing Maria Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic on the court together vying for a title—in this case, the Australian Open, in HD. Even non-tennis fans have seen Sharapova in commercials, and Ivanovic could follow in her footsteps—as a major champion and camera-friendly phenom. At this year’s Aussie, it was Ivanovic’s first final, and let’s just say the Serb made a name for herself for more than just her tennis prowess—she’ll be earning plenty of those endorsement dollars too after this breakout performance, which served ESPN’s HD cameras very well. By the way, Sharapova won in straight sets.
