The Indiana Jones Series

We’ll wrap up the Spielberg portion of our list here with the man with the whip. It should be noted that the fourth movie in the series, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was released on Blu-ray this year. There’s no solid release dates for the first three, however. While Star Wars introduced the world to Harrison Ford, it was the Indy movies that made him a leading man. These swashbuckling films were a nod to the serials of the golden age of movies.

Scene Stealer – I know, you’re probably thinking the face-melting scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark, right? As cool as that was, I’m going to go a different direction and say the boulder scene from Raiders. It opens very quietly and will be a true test of the sound mix. It ramps up quickly, however, as the room starts crumbling, giving the surrounds a chance to shine. From there the fronts and sub get a workout as Indy flees the giant boulder.
