Glory

One of my favorite movies of all time, there’s a lot to like in this 1989 film about the first company of black soldiers in the American Civil War: the 54th Massachusetts. Matthew Broderick, Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington headline the amazing cast. There’s plenty of action to keep your surrounds and subwoofer working and the score by James Horner is simply outstanding. On top of it all, this three-time Oscar winner is based on a true story.

Scene Stealer - The final assault on Fort Wagner could be the pick here, however, I’m going with the campfire scene midway through the movie. It’s a dark scene splashed with the bright light from the fire that will really test your video equipment, and the sound of the whole company singing should create a very cool sound field. It’s also one of the most moving scenes in the movie.
