Tivoli Audio Music System

While some tabletop systems are going full throttle into industrial design, Tivoli has stuck with more of a classic audio design that will blend well into both traditional and modern room environments. The latest incarnation of the Music System is housed in a dark brown wenge cabinet with a bronze faceplate and matching knobs. A slot-load CD player assures little fumbling when popping in a disc and is compatible with digital formats such as MP3 and WMA. Tivoli’s SpacePhase equalization technology allows you to pick mono, stereo and wide mode for 2.1-channel audio. An adjustable illuminated blue dot-matrix display provides CD/MP3 text, AM/FM radio data and digital clock functionality. Don’t worry about the display interrupting your sleep—it has a sensor that automatically reduces the light in a darkened room.

Price: $599
