Meridian iRIS

Everyone, including your mom, seems to have an iPod dock. Well, while you were rocking out, Meridian decided to throw in something extra with the iRIS: video. The iRIS works with the whole gamut of iPod models, charging the battery all while working the content into your home entertainment and control systems. However, the real “hook” here is that the iRIS also features video up-conversion processing—up to 1080p. No more wasting your pint-sized pal’s video functions resting in an audio-only dock. Other features include HDMI, component, and standard-def S-Video and composite video outputs, plus coax and optical digital-audio, and headphone and line-level analog-audio outputs. You can also hook up non-iPod items such as a DVD player or game console, via the HDMI input. The system comes with a remote, which can display work the iPod, the iRIS, or display iPod menus on-screen.

Price: $379
