Krell iPod Dock

The acronym may say otherwise, but Krell’s new dock certainly isn’t KID stuff. It can’t take the title as the most expensive dock to date (Goldster Audio has those honors), but Krell ain’t exactly cheap. The good thing—they aren’t cheap on the inside either. See this product isn’t for your kitchen counter. It also doesn’t use those cool looking tubes, instead it relies on the differential output of the iPod’s own internal digital-to-analog converter to produce its wow factor. Other features include balanced outputs, plenty of signal conditioning, video outputs, and RS-232 support. Just so your other devices don’t get jealous, the KID also features an auxiliary input to connect a Zune, a CD player or other product you’d like to pump up. Add in the Papa Dock for 150 watts per channel of extra amplification.

Price: $1,500
