“We do have one Super Bowl-targeted project we are working on,” says Steve Riley, principal partner at Atlantic Control Technologies in Annapolis, Maryland. “Assuming the shipment arrives in time, we will be installing the new LG 84-inch 4K TV in the sitting area of a large ‘man cave’ basement bar.”
LG’s 84-inch 84LM9600 is one of the first Ultra High-Definition TVs to hit the market. Also known as 4K, these new UHD TVs pack in a resolution of a 3840-by-2160, which is about four times the image of a full 1080p HDTV. As part of LG’s Cinema 3D line, this model also features FPR (Film Patterned Retarder) 3D technology. Other perks include LED Plus technology, built-in WiFi, LG’s Smart TV platform, and 2.2 Sound. It also has the Dual Play feature, which allows for 2D two-player split screen gaming on the full screen, via 3D glasses.
