Remember that outcry when Sony announced plans to remake Total Recall? Not to worry. It didn’t make that much of an impact with critics or audiences, despite cool special effects and an all-star cast. That lineup includes Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, John Cho and Bill Nighy.
It does make for a killer Blu-ray, however, with a 2.40:1 image, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track, and an UltraViolet Digital Copy. Otherwise, this 2-disc set actually has two Blu-ray discs, with two cuts of the movie, deleted scenes, commentary and multiple short featurettes. The real gem of the lot is the “Total Recall: Insight Mode,” which is basically an on-screen commentary track with tons of videos, trivia and other tidbits about the film.
