Since 2005, the Cornell family has been creating automated Christmas displays and collecting goods for the Idaho Food Bank. This year’s “Dubstep Christmas” video currently has 1.3 million YouTube hits. That’s certainly a lot easier to track than the number of lights used here, which is somewhere around the 40,000 mark. Located in Meridian, Idaho, the display requires over 2 miles of extension cords and more than 120 amps. The entire thing is planned about two months in advance, using four 16-channel Light-O-Rama controllers and a desktop computer.
