Butter

It’s hard to imagine a movie about a butter-carving contest being remotely interesting. However, this isn’t a TLC reality show; it’s a new comedy from Anchor Bay. In the same vein of films like Christopher Guest’s Best in Show, Butter follows a cutthroat Iowa contest and its contestants, some of which include stars Ty Burrell, Jennifer Garner, Alicia Silverstone, Olivia Wilde, Rob Corddry, and Hugh Jackman.

This small film is getting a pretty small Blu-ray release, with a good 2.35:1 image, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track, deleted scenes, a gag reel, and a standard-def DVD.

Rating: R
Runtime: 91 minutes
Total Number of Discs: 2
Studio: Anchor Bay
