Fire With Fire

Hot on the heels of the super-trippy action flick Looper, Lionsgate decided to unleash this flick straight to Blu-ray buyers. Bruce Willis, straight-to-video star? Say it ain’t so! It’s true, but there is a ton of eye candy and star power in this flick about a firefighter (Josh Duhamel) who goes into witness protection after testifying in a brutal murder. However, once his new identity is comprised, he decides to take matters into his own hands. The film also stars Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Julian McMahon, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and Vinnie Jones.

This single-disc release has a decent 2.40:1 image and a very impressive DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. There’s also a respectable amount of extras for a direct-to-DVD release, which includes two separate commentary tracks and several sets of interviews with the cast and crew.
