Rosemary’s Baby

Babies are super-cute, right? Well, just ask Rosemary (played so well by Mia Farrow), who just happens to be Satan’s baby mama. Despite the rumbles and the raw meat cravings, the film isn’t so much about what’s going on in that belly. It’s all about those creepy characters that seem hinged on the impending arrival. Thank Roman Polanski for giving us second thoughts about our offspring, and creating the killer kiddie clubhouse that went on to welcome such prestigious members as The Omen and The Exorcist.

Criterion is releasing this one on Blu-ray on October 30, just in time for the big day. Expect it to come packing a 1.85:1 image, an LPCM mono track, and a trio of featurettes including the documentary “Remembering Rosemary’s Baby.”

Rating: R
Runtime: 136 minutes
Total Number of Discs: 1
