The Thing

Our second John Carpenter film is definitely one of the most underrated on our list. Here, the director calls upon frequent collaborator Kurt Russell and the icy backdrop of Antarctica to create a serious feeling of claustrophobia, all while “the thing” finds different forms to take and slowly picks off the chilly crew in gory ways.

The release includes a 2.35:1 image, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track, audio commentary and a picture-in-picture commentary via Universal’s U-Control platform.

Rating: R
Runtime: 109 minutes
Total Number of Discs: 1
