The Ring

Watching a videotape probably seems scary to you for a whole set of other reasons. However, get ready to be really creeped out, thanks to this 2002 thriller, which was actually based on the 1998 Japanese hit Ringu. Watching an urban legend lived out on the big-screen has never been so scary, thanks to nosebleeds, freaky hallucinations, and Naomi Watts scrambling to solve the mystery before she becomes the next victim.

Despite its theatrical success, The Ring just received its first Blu-ray earlier this year. It has a 1.85:1 image, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track, and several small featurettes.

Rating: PG-13
Runtime: 115 minutes
Total Number of Discs: 1
Studio: Paramount
