Downton Abbey: Seasons 1 & 2 Limited Edition Set

Need to have all of this PBS sensation in one purchase? This is the set for you. The insanely popular British/American period drama follows the Crawley family and their servants through the sinking of the RMS Titanic, the Great War, and plenty of other tragedies, triumphs and scandals. Besides having a huge following, the show has a huge cast, including Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Brendan Coyle, Dan Stevens, Dame Maggie Smith, and many more.

Seasons one and two have been on Blu-ray for a while, so despite being a “limited-edition set,” the specs shouldn’t be all that surprising. Expect a 1.78:1 image and 2-channel DTS-HD Master Audio throughout the set’s 16 episodes. There’s nothing “limited” about the extras, either. Season one has a making-of featurette and something titled “A House In History.” There’s also a little spot to pump up British tourism. That second season includes the featurettes “Fashion and Uniforms,” “Romance in a Time of War” and “House to Hospital.” The big bonus here, however, is the “Downton Abbey Christmas Special.”
