Dark Shadows

You may have missed Tim Burton’s take on the ‘60s/‘70s gothic soap opera, Dark Shadows. It’s understandable; it came out the same week as The Avengers. Now, you can get a peek at Johnny Depp as centuries-old vampire Barnabas Collins, who wakes up in 1972. If that and the fashions aren’t enough to deal with, he has a house filled with dysfunctional descendants and hangers-on, including Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Jackie Earle Haley, Jonny Lee Miller, and Chloë Grace Moretz.

This 2-disc set includes a 1.78:1 image, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track, a standard-def DVD, and an UltraViolet Digital Copy. Other than that, the release has deleted scenes and several picture-in-picture interviews and other tidbits labeled as “Focus Points.”

Rating: PG-13
Runtime: 113 minutes
Total Number of Discs: 2
Studio: Warner Bros.
