Marvel's The Avengers

If you weren’t one of the ones that contributed to this film’s $1.44 billion box office haul, you can finally catch all of your favorite superheroes on Blu-ray. Seriously; one of these must be your favorite. The film is packed with potential, including Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).

If the cast isn’t enough to make your head spin, you’re going to have to decide between two different Blu-ray sets. The 4-disc combo pack includes 3D and 2D Blu-rays, a standard-def DVD, the Digital Copy, and a digital download of the “Inspired By” album. Other features include a gag reel, deleted scenes, audio commentary with director Joss Whedon, several featurettes, and Disney’s Second Screen viewing feature. The 2-disc combo pack eliminates the 3D disc, the Digital Copy and the download, packing just the 2D Blu-ray and standard-def DVD in with the same set of bonus features. Both include a 1.78:1 aspect ratio and a superhero-sized DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 track.

Rating: PG-13
Runtime: 143 minutes
Total Number of Discs: 4 (3D version), 2 (2D version)
Studio: Disney
