The Rescuers: 35th Anniversary Edition

Disney celebrates a landmark anniversary with this 2-film special edition Blu-ray debut. Both the 1977 original and its 1990 sequel feature the classic characters of Bernard (voiced by Bob Newhart) and Miss Bianca (Eva Gabor), two mice trying to bring abducted wee ones back home.

The 3-disc set has two standard-def DVDs—each with one movie and the respective special features. The Blu-ray has both films and a few bonus items, but nothing worthy of an “anniversary” set. Instead, there’s a short cartoon, a short sing-along song, and a short deleted song. The real gem here is the inclusion of the Oscar-winner documentary, Water Birds - A Walt Disney True Life Adventure.

Rating: G
Runtime: 155 minutes
Total Number of Discs: 3
Studio: Disney
