The Last Days of Disco

After delving into the party scene with Metropolitan and Barcelona, writer/director Whit Stillman tapped into some of his own experiences during the days of disco—or at least the last days. The film never really found an audience, but make pique some interest, with a lineup that includes Chloë Sevigny, Kate Beckinsale, Robert Sean Leonard and Jennifer Beals.

Criterion has packaged this indie with a 1.78:1 aspect ratio, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, and quite a few extras. The single-disc release includes deleted scenes, stills and a trailer, as well as a pair of shorts and commentary with Stillman, Sevigny and costar Chris Eigeman. All of that is packaged with a bonus essay by novelist David Schickler.
