Step Up

With Channing Tatum currently dancing his way through the Steven Soderbergh hit Magic Mike, it seems fitting to include the dance movie that started it all—or at least Tatum’s career. In between the cool moves, there is a love story, which actually extended off-screen as well. Tatum married his co-star Jenna Dewan in 2009.

While it’s probably not going to look as good as Step Up 3 (which actually looked phenomenal in 3D), the 2.35:1 transfer of Step Up should be a nice step up from the DVD. Otherwise, there’s a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track, commentary, deleted scenes, and a way-too-brief look at the movie’s choreography.

Rating: PG-13
Runtime: 103 minutes
