George Lucas backed and directed (uncredited) some of the scenes in this take on the legendary Tuskegee Airmen. The film received some flack for making the film too cliche, but the action scenes should be worth the purchase price alone.
This 2-disc set includes a 2.40:1 aspect ratio and a thrilling DTS-HD Master Audio track—the kind you’re going to want to crank. Other than that, there are featurettes on Lucas, director Anthony Hemingway, composer Terence Blanchard, and of course, the cast. Make sure to check out the hour-long doc “Double Victory: The Tuskegee Airmen at War,” which is the gem of this set. Also, it comes packing a standard-def DVD copy of the movie.
