GTT Audio

This was one of the larger rooms, and one of the rooms that had a line waiting to get in from the very beginning of the show. The show-off pieces were the Brinkman Balance turntable and the YG Acoustics Anat III Signature speakers.

This was also one of the few rooms that wasn’t playing 40-year-old jazz or 200-year-old classical. As I sat down Adele’s Rolling in the Deep was playing, and I’ve never heard it like that before.  When the drums first entered in the beginning of the song I could feel each smack in my knees. Then when the rest of the instruments kicked in with Adele’s signature contralto the YG’s created an emotional presence. This track was followed up with the Beatles (yes, 40 years old) that also sounded amazing. Finally, some Jack Johnson was put on that showed off the system’s ability to produce fine detail.

I didn’t get the total price of the system, but the YG speakers themselves go for about $119,000.
