Mitsubishi’s newest 3D projector puts out 1,600 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio the company said is “higher than” 30,000:1. It uses a proprietary IR emitter for its 3D glasses, so you have to buy Mitsubishi glasses ($100, active shutter style). The company said there are several proprietary video processing tricks going on to reduce crosstalk. The 2D to 3D conversion looked pretty good in the demo I saw. It will be available in November for $3,495 with one set of glasses.
