Die Hard

It’s understandable why this one sent Bruce Willis into the stratosphere of Hollywood stars. He and Alan Rickman are perfect combatants, and there’s some sentimentality to Willis’ character that gets lost a bit in the sequels. He delivers every line with spot-on timing, and that he’s barefoot during the whole thing is a fun detail for the over-the-top action genre.—Arlen Schweiger, managing editor, CE Pro and Commercial Integrator
