Monster House

Everyone’s childhood included a lawn where balls and Frisbees went to die. In director Gil Kenan’s 3D playground, that lawn is owned by Nebbercracker, who is voiced by Steve Buscemi. However, it’s not the old man that’s all that creepy, but his flesh-eating house. Yeah, it’s not as scary as it sounds. OK, maybe it is, but it’s also pretty fun. This movie often gets shoved aside by the likes of Shrek, Toy Story, princesses, and other animated mega-hits. On Blu-ray 3D is where the movie gets true redemption, with a great image and a story to match.
