A Christmas Carol / The Polar Express

These seasonal favorites may not play as well in July, but the 3D could certainly bump either one up into the year-round rotation. Both feature uber-creepy CGI, but pretty great imagery overall. Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future) is the man behind both movies, with Jim Carrey leading A Christmas Carol and Tom Hanks filling multiple roles aboard The Polar Express. If you can only choose one Christmas movie, go with Dickens. It’s a better transfer, with a better collection of extras.

Rating: PG (on both)
