A recent addition to Tuxedo Touch is its support for Honeywell Total Connect™ Remote Services, a remote management system that allows the controller to be managed anywhere in the world. Through Total Connect you can manage their security system and home automation from any Internet connected device, including mobile devices. A free mobile application is available for iOS and Android devices. Additionally, Tuxedo Touch includes a built-in web server that gives you the ability to control the system from anywhere in your home’s Wi-Fi network from a mobile device.

The added remote functionality gives you the flexibility to monitor activity from your home while away, including opening and locking doors, turn on/off lights and viewing up to six live video feeds from Total Connect. This not only allows you to improve the security and comfort of your home, but to take advantage of energy savings as well.

Operation is easy with the intuitive touchscreen interface, and the functionality is highly advanced. And by integrating Tuxedo Touch with optional E-Mon solution the device can provide energy-usage information so users know how much energy is being consumed.

In the past, such "connected-home" systems could generally only be afforded by higher-end homeowners. But Tuxedo Touch provides the same home automation and security capabilities, at a fraction of the cost.

Tuxedo Touch makes combining security with home automation a snap. Up to 232 Z-Wave enabled devices, such as thermostats, lights, door locks and window shades can be connected wirelessly to the controller. The wireless connectivity allows you to easily connect and remove devices anytime. Tuxedo Touch also delivers an easy-to-use interface that’s intuitive at first glance and features pre-installed how-to videos.

Additionally, Tuxedo Touch is compatible with Honeywell’s VISTA alarm panel ― making it easy for existing Honeywell security customers to upgrade controllers and add home automation functionality to their homes.
