Stewart Filmscreen Plexus

MSRP: Built to order

Plexus addresses the unique needs of certain installations that specify a cinema-quality viewing experience outside the confines of a dedicated home theater. Plexus’s multi-roller systems are custom designed to each application. Typical 3-roller configurations include 1) a deployable blackout shade to block ambient light from behind the screen, 2) a second roller screen deploying any of Stewart’s flexible front projection materials, and 3) a 3rd roller screen deploying either a vertical masking system for constant height dual aspect ratio masking or a horizontal masking system for constant width variable masking.

Features

Often times, finding the perfect dedicated environment for a projection screen system can be difficult. Plexus eliminates this issue by providing a customizable all-in-one blackout shade, screen, and masking system, capable of being deployed over a light source such as a window, patio door, or flat panel TV. Plexus features vertical masking system for constant height dual aspect ratio masking or a horizontal masking system for constant width variable masking; ideal for producing a perfect image area when viewing different types of media or content filmed in various aspect ratios. With 3 roller systems working together, there is unlimited potential for employing a high performance, cinema-quality projection system in a non-dedicated environment.

Benefits

  • Plexus features a deployable black out shade and masking to produce optimal viewing conditions in non-dedicated environments. Other versions might substitute a black scrim made of acoustically transparent fabric in place of the blackout shade, to block reflection from a flat panel TV mounted behind the screen.

  • Highly customizable (both form and function) to satisfy the unique requirements of each install.

  • Plexus comes with 3 IMCs (Independent Motor Controls), allowing for independent operation of all 3 rollers. Additionally, the IMCs enable the overall system with all its functionality to be integrated into virtually any home automation system.
