ComfortVu Motorized Over The Fireplace TV Mount

MSRP: $1,995.00

Designed to solve the problem of too high over the fireplace TV mounting, the ComfortVu motorized mount places the TV over the fireplace, and with the touch of a button, automatically brings large, heavy flatscreens forward and down to the perfect position.  First introduced in August of 2012, the ComfortVu mount was greeted by homeowners, custom installers, and home electronics publications with excitement.  The problems associated with fireplace TV mounting were well known ― viewer discomfort and neck strain as well as subpar sightlines ― but until ComfortVu, no solution to this vexing problem existed.

With each installation, ComfortVu sought dealer and end-user feedback on what they’d like to see in the next model. On their wish list was a smaller mount with concealed mechanics, and the new model, introduced in May of 2013, incorporates these suggestions as well as additional improvements.

The new streamlined model offers a lighter, quieter, easier-to-mount device, with a significantly reduced front profile. A small span-like form is visible when the TV is in the lowered position. The motor, control box, and lag bolts are concealed for a more finished look.  At 39 pounds, the new mount is light enough for any solo installer to mount on the wall. The center of the wall mount was eliminated to afford greater flexibility when locating the power and signal cables.  What hasn’t changed, however, is the mount’s capacity: The ComfortVu fireplace TV mount still fits most 55″ to 90″ TV’s, holds up to 190 lbs, and will automatically move a large TV down 34″ and forward 25″ to the perfect viewing position. Made in the USA, it has a 5-year warranty.
