A simple concept with limitless applications, the MIW-SURGE-1G provides Panamax’s trusted Protect or Disconnect® surge protection directly at the wall outlet. Compatible with single-gang, standard-depth plastic or metal electrical boxes, the MIW-SURGE-1G is ideal for new installations or can easily replace existing single-gang duplex outlets. Boasting patented protection technology and a bi-color power status LED, the MIW-SURGE-1G is a substantial upgrade to the traditional wall outlet, offering protection to remotely located flat-panel televisions, subwoofers, and other electronics in a home entertainment system that cannot be plugged into the main system rack. And since it’s a standard single-gang size, it doesn’t need to be confined to the home theater or living room. The MIW-SURGE-1G is also ideal for protecting electronics in the home office, bedroom, garage, kitchen, or anywhere around the house.

Compliant with UL 1449's stringent third-edition transient voltage protection standards, the MIW-SURGE-1G offers complete protection, while Protect or Disconnect technology cuts power to connected equipment in catastrophic voltage conditions so users can rest assured that their equipment will stay safe. Now, any electronic device that does not have the luxury of plugging into a power strip or power conditioner (such as flat-panel displays mounted flush to the wall) can be protected from power problems.
