Sim2 LUMIS 3D SOLO

SIM2’s patented ALPHAPATH light engine is at the heart of the LUMIS 3D SOLO 3-chip 3D DLP projector. For optimum 3D performance SIM2’s R&D team turned to Digital Cinema technology, which allowed them to surpass the 120Hz dual flash home theater standard and achieve superior performance with triple flash 144Hz. In this way, the active 3D technology used in this projector doesn’t suffer the flickering, ghosting or motion artifacts suffered by other products. LUMIS 3D SOLO is designed for use in Reference Home Cinemas, Media Rooms and Family/Games Rooms, and has three user modes, each optimized for the various demands of movie, sports and 3D viewing:  1. PureMovie. This mode reproduces movies in their native format (24fps, etc.), for a more ‘film-like’ image.  Recommended for 2D movies.  2. PureMotion: Fast-action sports viewing benefits from smooth motion, free from the ‘smear’ and ‘judder’ that can affect image quality.  3. PureMotion 3D: The demands of 3D are such that careful processing must be carried out to ensure artifact-free images are created on-screen. This mode is used when the LUMIS 3D SOLO is being used to view 3D material. Triple-flash technology delivers 144Hz with the Blu-ray 3D format.
