The KX7 also supports crystal-clear composite, S-video, or component video on its dazzling display. The KX7 touchpanel is separated from the pack by its unmatched versatility. In addition to controlling components up to 1,000 feet away via its high-output IR port, the controller's two-way RS-232 port can run two-way control drivers without the need for a separate control processor. This is combined with the flexibility of both wired 10/100 Base-T and wireless 802.11 Ethernet connections for two-way control and feedback from components, access to network security video, and more. In addition, the KX7's wireless Ethernet offers the flexibility to meet the installation challenges in any building, while the availability of wired 10/100 Base-T Ethernet provides the option of powering the unit with the included power supply or Power over Ethernet. The KX7 is programmed via RTI's award-winning Integration Designer software, which allows integrators to cater the interface to each specific installation for the most intuitive control, while reducing programming time to lower installation costs.
For consumers, the KX7 provides an amazing value. The unit's wired 10/100 Base-T and wireless 802.11 Ethernet connections allow users to view Web pages, while enabling two-way control and feedback from music servers, HVAC, lighting systems, and more for an unmatched control experience. They can also view everything from security cameras to satellite TV on the KX7's 7-inch WVGA LCD with resolutions up to 576p. And for customers looking to cut costs even further, the KX7 allows them to have a powerful two-way control experience without the additional expense of a separate control processor.
The KX7 makes it simple for integrators to provide their clients with these benefits. The touchpanel's wireless Ethernet provides the flexibility to meet the installation challenges in any building - especially in retrofit installations where running wires can be difficult - while wired 10/100 Base-T Ethernet provides the option of powering the unit with the included power supply or Power over Ethernet (PoE). The KX7's low-profile faceplate is available in a variety of colors to add an elegant touch to any environment. And with Integration Designer, integrators can easily provide their customers with a unique interface that has been completely customized to their unique installation and tastes.
