Cool-slim answers the need for a very low profile component cooler. There are many situations in which receivers and other audio-video components overheat due to shelves spaced so closely together that effective ventilation is restricted and most coolers simply don’t fit. Dimensions of the Cool-slim are 11” x 11” x 1 5/8”. The 1 5/8” height can be reduced to 1¼” by removing the cooler’s feet.
Cool-slim is placed on top of a component that has some, but insufficient, ventilation and pulls heated air out through its top vent openings. An alternate mounting method is used to cool electronic components with solid top covers; either way, fan operation is controlled by temperature via a remote probe. Heated air is exhausted through a series of slots in the front and rear panels of the Cool-slim. This very quiet component cooler is not designed to be used in a sealed enclosure, but in an environment at least partially open.
