The design of CalMAN 5 started at the very core of the application, rewriting and fine-tuning the ColorSpace engine to allow unprecedented control and analysis of information. What this means for the user is the ability to read and calibrate a display to a level of precision previously not possible, reaching ever closer to the image accuracy intended by the original content creator. Along with an improved core, the user interface was redesigned for an enhanced, more intuitive approach to the calibration process that tailors to the needs of the user. Based on user feedback, new features were added including Breakout Reports, Granular Chart Axis Control, and Overlay Charts that make CalMAN both more powerful and easier to use. Breakout Report allows a single or multiple standard CalMAN report to be used with the workflow best suited for their needs for a given calibration. Granular Chart Axis Control enables the ability to control charts at a detailed level, specifying exactly the axis controls to focus on. Chart Overlays permit users to layer different sets of readings on the same chart to easily compare and analyze readings. This is particularly useful for pre /post result reporting. Building on the solid foundation of SpectraCal’s CalMAN v4 software, CalMAN 5 pushes the high standards of video calibration software to a new level of functionality, integration, and convenience for professional and home users.
