Since 1961, the McIntosh MC275’s characteristically smooth, clean, and powerful sound has set the standard of quality for power amplifiers. The new MC275 features a host of new technologies and enhancements, such as patent-pending gold-plated speaker connectors that allow easy connection of even the heaviest of speaker wires without power loss. Both balanced and unbalanced inputs sport very high quality connectors, enhancing the flexibility of the amplifier. A new muting circuit keeps unwanted noise out of your speakers until the amp is fully warmed-up, as indicated by LEDs. Power Control power triggering allows the amplifier to turn on and off with compatible preamps and processors for ease of operation. McIntosh amplifiers are known for durability and longevity. As tubes age, however, it is possible that one may wear out. In the new MC275, Sentry Monitor stands by, watching over all the tubes, and shuts down the amplifier in case of a tube malfunction, while LEDs change color to indicate which tube needs replacement. Tubes can easily be replaced to restore performance, greatly simplifying maintenance.
