Sony PlayStation 4

Here we go again! The next generation of video game consoles is upon us. First up is the PlayStation 4. Arriving on Nov. 15, this iteration of the popular console from Sony boasts 10x the processing power of the PS3 that’s all based around the same X86 architecture used in PCs, in theory making developing games for the system much easier than before.  The new Dualshock4 controller (included) now has an integrated touchpad, motion controls, and can interact with the optional PlayStation Eye camera. The PS4 will push even more realistic graphics, animations, resolutions and frame rates, as well as many Internet-based streaming video, music and entertainment services. The PS4’s online store is also shaping up to be the platform of choice for many indie game developers. The PS4 however, is not backwards compatible with PS3 or earlier games.
