Microsoft Xbox One

‘Tis the season for new gaming consoles and this year, Santa is going to be really confused. The Sony PS4 is on its way, but I’m really hoping to see an Xbox One sticking out of my stocking. Designed by gamers for gamers, it has all of that Xbox goodness and comes with the Kinect, so you won’t just be sitting on your lazy butt on Christmas morning. However, Microsoft’s latest is one-upping the old Xbox 360 experience, thanks to adaptive AI, SmartGlass, a gaming DVR, split-screen options, and of course, Xbox Live. It’s also the type of device that won’t be collecting dust while your thumbs and limbs receive some much-needed downtime. This multimedia machine can stream apps, sports, movies, TV shows and the web right to your display and includes voice capabilities, a personalized home screen, support for 1080p, and a built-in Blu-ray player.—Rachel Cericola
