7 Smart Locks That Aren’t As Dumb As You Think
Slide 3 of 7

Yale Key Free Touchscreen Deadbolt

Yale’s latest deadbolt doesn’t have any sort of app component. So what makes it so smart? It has the good sense to connect to any platform or app using Z-Wave or ZigBee. That lineup include systems made by Crestron, Honeywell, Leviton, AT&T, Staples, and much more. To make that happen, you’ll need to add in a $125 module, as well as the third-party manufacturer’s subscription fees (if any). Otherwise, this lock has an illuminated touchscreen and keypad for keyless entry via a code. Also worth noting is that the lock allows for a few dozen codes, for personalized or temporary entry options.

Price: $200 (deadbolt only)
