11 Smart Thermostats for Your Smart Home
Slide 4 of 11

Trane XL824

Trane currently has two smart thermostats, with two more coming on April 1. One of those newbies is the XL824, which works in conjunction with Nexia Home Intelligence. That basically means that users can remotely access temperature controls, as well as tie the thermostat into other electronic systems in and around the house. It also means that you’ll need to pay the monthly Nexia fee. While users do need the Nexia Bridge to make the whole thing work, the XL824 has it built in. Other features on this model include a 4.3-inch color touchscreen, the option for Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity, upgradable software, a five-day weather forecast, and weather radar. Users can also create up to six daily heating and cooling schedules, with a one-touch setup process.
