Sonance Soundbars

Sonance is celebrating its 30th anniversary by surrendering to the flow and joining the soundbar category with its unique take on the product. As with the company’s other design-oriented products, the soundbars are aiming at the solution’s key aesthetic - that it match the width of your TV so there’s a seamless appearance. Toward that end, Sonance has plans to offer two standard widths (pricing TBD, but the company is estimating $1,700 to $1,900 for the smaller version, $2,000 to $2,200 for the larger), with the smaller one fitting displays 50 to 65 inches and the larger one displays 70 to 80 inches. Their trick is that the soundbars contain sides that can telescope out - without affecting the speakers and electronics - for a perfect match every time. That way it doesn’t matter if you change your mind and decide you want a slightly larger TV for the living room halfway through the project. Drivers from Sonance’s Visual Performance Series architectural speakers can be found in these true 3-way models, with the powder-coated aluminum to help get rid of any ringing.
