When I first heard about this program during the Summer of 2001, I was eager to check it out, because the concept of an entire season taking place in the course of one day appealed to me.  Because I’m thinking to myself, ‘They’ve must’ve packed this show with so much in it to sustain this type of thing for one entire day, for certain things to always be happening in each hour.’  When the show finally How I Met Your Mother dvd complete set began its run on Fox, I was glued to my television screen, always checking my watch, and every time the Cold Case complete set 1-7 hour ended, I was anxious to know what was going to happen next.  The show was definitely addictive, and Kiefer Sutherland is definitely unbelievable as Jack Bauer.  He definitely deserved that Golden Globe, and since he didn’t get the Emmy this year, I hope he gets it next year.  I hope this show continues for at the most 7 years, because basically if you do seven Star Trek The Original box set for sale seasons, that’s seven days, one whole week basically.  May this program continue to prosper for years to come. 
Everyone seems to enjoy pointing out sublte flaws in this masterpiece, but by doing that you are just missing the big picture.  I have never seen a show where I looked foward to the next episode as much as Babylon 5 1-5 dvd set this.  I genuinely cared about the characters, and when the final seconds ticked down at midnight of the last episode, I can honestly say out of breath and drained, like it was my family involved.  The action was almost always non-stop, and if there was no action, there was tension there to take its place.  You never could miss a minute, and once you started watching the show, you would never want to miss a minute.  Just great TV, and Keifer Sutherland is just amazing.  He has made some questionable movie choices, but he is outstanding in this, as is almost everyone in the cast.  I consider this a must watch, and I am not the kind of person who likes most shows, I consider most things on TV right now Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles season 1-2 complete [unworthy], but this is like no other show I have seen before. 
I have watched every season of 24 and I must say, this last installment was very good indeed. The writing was very tight, the twists and turns very appropriate and there was little or no filler, just lots of well thought out action, tension and drama. I particularly liked the underlying political conspiracy theme: a very contemporary angle to the story. Also interesting the usual power struggles between CTU and the various players from the other agencies. Keither Sutherland did an outstanding job as usual as Jack Scrubs collection 1-9 seasons Bauer, as if had been born just to play this role. And my second favorite was the actress that plays Chloe. In fact she carries a lot of the season, providing some very amusing moments with her quirky character. Overall 24, with its one hour per episode formula, manages to still provide nail biting action and drama that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout. The show has not deteriorated in quality, as Rome complete 1-2 seasons many shows do as they progress through the years, in fact this season feels as fresh as when 24 was first aired. Fabulously entertaining top notch television. 
I bought this set after hearing all the hype about the show and I figured a series released on DVD just months after its first season has to be pretty good because it sure got on the market fast. I don’t know what I expected, probably some boring by-the-book spy/action show, but boy I got my money’s (and time’s) worth and then some. This is now my favorite show. Every NCIS dvd set 1-7 episode is packed with intense action, drama, and suspense, all with great acting and a TERRIFIC score. And the whole 24 hour thing is just so neat. This is what other TV shows should be like, no other show matches this purchase Family Guy on TV. Forget all the shows the Emmys always praise, this is real TV. Entertainment at it’s best. Get it, you will not be sorry. In fact, the only time you’ll be sorry is when you have to work instead of watch the next episode. This is great TV. 
When I first put disk 1 in one night, I thought I would just watch the first hour and that would be it. Big mistake!  Ten hours later I was finishing up disk 3 and had stop watching because I had to go to work!  If you want some DVDs that will consume your thoughts and make you practically forget time, 24 Season One will do it for you.
