HELP!!!

I am drowning in a sea of choices and no idea what to choose.

I am looking for a wireless switch to activate a SINGLE outside flood light from the back yard.  This switch is on the second floor of our brick home. 

Most importantly, I don’t want to invest $200+ for a system when all I am interested in is controlling a single light. (I tried several Leviton 6696-W and they didn’t cut it.)

Any basic wirelss switches out there that wont break the bank?

I got something like this to turn on and off Christmas lights without having to go outside and yank the extension cord out every night.

Did you know about Clap switches ? It will be better option, also I heard about sensor switches in which lights on or off when a person enters or leaves the room…obviously they are quite expensive then normal ones…

Those clap switches have been around for years, but occasionally they hear a noise similar to a clap and it causes them to turn on and off.  Our electrician installed a system that detects movement in a room and turns lights off accordingly.  One feature that really sold of on this type of lighting control is that it can be shut off during certain parts of the day.  We don’t want lights turning on when our children are sleeping, so I suggest you look into our lighting setup as a solution to your problem.

I was also in search of wireless switch and after visiting your link I founded good options that can be used.Cover unit TM-001 and Wall Dimmer Kit WR-318 was best suitable for me.

You can link them on dd-wrt as well, you do not have to have the user friendly buffalo firmware to do it with, i am currently at my neighbor’s house where i set her up a WZR-HP-G300NH linking into one of my WAP’s (linksys E2000) and have no probs with it. And to you neigh-sayers that seem to have problems with “wireless drop” claims that are on DD-WRT w/ Atheros hardware, i have included a pic for you… 3 Days uptime with no wireless drop hrm…

Why do you have to use a wireless switch? It wouldn’t be too hard to run some cables through some conduit?

I also agree that there is no such need to use wireless switches and its very easy to use cables…

thanks so much for that link… i did my zip code (72032 in conway, ar) and am still not quite sure… if someone has time could you verify for me… i am thinking it looks like B (626 - 668 MHZ) might have enough vacanies… sorry to have someone babysit for me but would love a second opinion on that
